In the state Oaxaka, on an eminence surrounded with the valley with the same name, pyramids of Monte-Albana tower. The peak of the city development fell on the 5th – 7th century of our era. Later the city had been conquered by Aztecs and has definitively fallen into decay after the Spanish conquistador. The main port of Maya was Tolum which practically had not remained till our time.
Having taken pleasure from majestic monuments of Maya culture tourists move closer to the present - to times of conquistador - the Spanish conquest in Southern and Central America. The Great Canyon of the USA is widely known all over the world, but it's many times less and looks like a dwarf in comparison with the Copper Canyon of Mexico. Its unique landscapes and large falls are remembered for a long time.
